Excerpt:
The University of Exeter Medical School is carrying out more work on the Wollex Link, our partnership with Wollega University Medical School, in Ethiopia. Now in its third year, the Wollega school is in need of help with logistics and teaching. Three senior medics based in Truro will travel to Ethiopia over Easter to offer teaching and help with staff development and curriculum planning. The link is in its second year, and is currently led by academics in Cornwall. We have had interest from students in Exeter, and would welcome medics and other healthcare staff to help get the project launched in Exeter. We are also in touch with an Exeter charity that has longstanding links with Wollega: www.exeterethiopialink.org. The link concentrates on medical education, but is looking to help directly with healthcare and to undertake research. Please contact [email protected] for more information.
